Great weekend with great friends celebrating Faulkner’s birthday. The bite was a little slow last night, but Wyndi caught her first old drum and birthday boy got one as well.
What an epic old drum bite Rob and Bob had last night. Thanks to Clint with Reel McCoy Sportfishing for mating for us. 16 out of 16 releases for these guys.
Labor Day old drum trip.
The bite has been a little slow the last two days, but this crew managed some nice cobia, one pushing 40lbs. A 32” grouper and a few triggers.

It was rough getting out this afternoon, but with a 2 day season, this group of guys were more than willing to help thin out some of these American red snapper.
Troll was a little slow, but the bottom was on fire. Plenty of grouper and trigger, some short cobia and more “endangered “ red snappers than we could count.
What a week. I had a blast fishing the Big Rock with my Sarcastic teammates on the Accordingly. We released 4 blue marlin as a team. I was lucky enough to be one of the anglers landing my first.

What a crazy charter. According to the weather forecast, we were not going to be able to get offshore. So we grabbed a few cobia rods and a few light inshore rods. I figured with the NE wind, we might be able to get to a near shore wreck. Boy did we luck up, the inlet was flat and seas were manageable. So after a few small fish near shore and the seas still light, we headed offshore. We picked up a few triggers and a grouper. Then some surprise visitors showed up. We had a ball casting gotcha plug at mahi with trout rods. Great job guys!!
What a crazy weekend. We had to cancel charters due to weather. Had some good friends in town, so we took advantage of a short weather window this morning.
